First female home was Gemma Russhard (Unattached) in 20:25, with Lorna Garrod (Benfleet RC) second in 21:13 and Southend AC's Jordan Lacey third in 21:32.

Well done to everyone that took part on Saturday, latest results can be viewed here.

Busy weekend for Pitsea's International Hurdler Gianni Frankis

It was a very busy weekend for our local GB Hurdler Gianni Frankis as he competed in two races in  two countries in just 24 hours! His first race 110m Hurdles race was in The Flame Games in Amsterdam, where he finished 3rd in a close race in 13.79. Then came the 400 mile journey from Amsterdam to Berlin's ISTAF meet where Frankis managed to improve his time from the previous day down to 13.72, finishing 6th. No doubt Gianni will now be looking forward to a well-earnt rest before his indoor season gets underway!
